World’s Best Morning: Shared mental models on sustainability

Breakfast and seminar hosted by our friends from Wisdome.

About this Event

We love Fridays. And breakfast. And our community. Combine the three of them and you get the “World’s Best Morning”.

This World’s Best Morning is hosted by our friends from Wisdome.

>>How can a visualization center facilitate sustainable development in the region of Skåne? <<

Our world is facing critical challenges on a local and global scale, challenges that won’t be solved in isolation. The development of innovative and sustainable solutions will require cross-industry collaborations. Policy makers, the private sector, creative actors, the academia and the civil society all inhabit the same system and as such, need to collaborate.

With the Wisdome project, Malmö Muséer wants to establish multifunctional learning spaces where collaboration and co-creation can thrive, where knowledge sharing is facilitated and where new sustainable business opportunities are created.

The foundation of the Wisdome project lies in the power of visualization as a tool to increase understanding of complex issues and contexts, like science. Dome theaters and labs are already being adopted around the world in museums to utilize this power and to create more interactive learning spaces. The turn has now come to Malmö

Malmö Muséer already engage a multitude of actors across sectors and over 400 000 visitors yearly. Through the Wisdome initiative, the hybrid museum of Malmo together with other national and regional stakeholders, aims to be a relevant part in the future infrastructures for sustainable societal development – generating new insights, ideas and increased curiosity for our common societal and environmental challenges.

Join us for this morning seminar on how visualizations and the co-creation of visualizations can be a powerful tool in the context of sustainable development.

What is needed to create the right conditions for this kind of challenge driven innovation? How could it look in practice?
